Business Office Manager

Hillview Terrace is a 143 bed short term and long term skilled nursing facility located in Montgomery, Alabama. 

 

Job Duties:

Oversee all functions of the business office including payroll, trust fund, accounts receivable and payroll.

Prepare financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles

Prepare reports for monthly financial meeting

Responsible for weekly budget meetings and problem solving around budget issues.

Assist administrator with issues that affects finances

Responsible for Medicare, Managed Care and Private Billing –

Responsible for problem solving around AR issues and making collection calls

Responsible for completing representative payee applications, annual rep payee reporting and corresponding with Social Security Administration

Responsible for keying cash receipts and balancing cash receipts to the bank reports

Meet with and screen patients/sponsors for Medicaid- complete Medicaid applications as needed

Attend weekly admissions meeting and problem solve around difficult financial situations with a referral

Be integral part of PDPM team weekly meeting and have in depth understanding of PDPM reimbursement system

Responsible for Monthly billing closeout

Responsible for cash flow of the business

Work alongside the administrator to prepare budgets for the facility.

Involved in state survey process where needed

Responsible for ensuring all audits of insurance claims are responded to timely and follow up on to ensure final payment of claim

Make rounds as directed by the administrator

Other duties as assigned by administrator or corporate office

 

Qualifications:

Experience in skilled nursing or healthcare billing and accounts receivable - preferred

Bachelors or Associate in Accounting, Finance or related field- preferred

Experience in office management- preferred

Must be detailed oriented and organized

Excellent communication skills and customer service skills

Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from supervisor

Team player

Proficient with Excel and Word

Pay is dependent upon experience in healthcare, billing, accounting or office management
