Senior DeltaV Control Systems Engineer
Setting new standards for industrial process automation solutions in the metropolitan New York City tristate area, Control Associates, Inc. is a premier provider of process automation systems & software, valves, measurement solutions, pressure management, asset reliability and data management solutions. We are looking to hire a Senior DeltaV Control Systems Engineer to workout of our headquarters in Allendale, NJ.
Established in 1933, Control Associates along with its global process automation business partner, Emerson, specializes in supporting the process control equipment and service needs of the following industries: Life Sciences, Natural Gas Distribution & Transmission, HVAC, Power, Chemical, and Downstream Hydrocarbons.
Role: CSEs will have individual specific DeltaV deliverables while working in a team environment, supporting very large-scale control system project implementations, from initial project proposal support, through start-up, and commissioning.
Responsibilities:
- Work as the Project Lead Engineer or as a Project Engineer specific to DeltaV within a robust team, supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
- Assist the Engineering staff with all aspects of control system project implementation from project proposal through to start-up and commissioning.
- Proactively mentor and develop team members.
- Develop and maintain project documentation as required by the customer specifications.
- Review or develop control strategies
- Review and approve project design drawings.
- Develop DeltaV graphics and configure control system databases.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that the factory acceptance testing is performed.
- Assist the Project Manager/Administrator with project planning, scheduling, documentation, and invoicing.
- Maintain training certification via company provided trainings for DeltaV (or other control system platforms)
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required, Bachelor of Engineering preferred
- Real world experience with DeltaV is required
- DeltaV configuration experience of continuous or batch process control systems
- Industry standards ISA S88, GAMP5, or 21CFR11
- Ability to read P&IDs, Instrumentation and Controls wiring diagrams
- Site start-up experience and/or Site process equipment support experience
- Troubleshooting of process and/or process equipment
- Excellent Communications skills, this is a client facing role
- Must be able to frequently visit our clients within the NYC Tri-State region
Preferred
- Pharma/Life Sciences industry experience
- Qualification experience
- Working knowledge of databases (SQL, Historians, querying)
- Industry standard factory floor communication protocols
- User Requirements Specifications (URS)
- General Design Specifications (GDS)
- Detailed Design Specifications (DDS)
- Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS)
