Legal Operations Specialist

As a member of the Legal Operations team, the Legal Operations Specialist will contribute to the execution, efficiency, and effectiveness of workflows in support of our Compliance Program. This includes contracts and agreements administration, systems administration, project coordination and more. These focus areas are aligned with the aim of enhancing the productivity and results delivered by the Legal and Compliance departments in serving CONMED’s strategic business priorities.

 

Responsibilities:

Draft and edit contracts and agreements.

Manage contracts and agreements templates.

Review terms and conditions to verify compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations.

Clearly explain terminology to interested parties in simple, everyday language.

Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistency.

Support the design, configuration, and data integrity of Compliance related systems.

Ensure data is accurate and workflows are completed in a timely manner within Compliance systems.

Coordinate data administration within Compliance systems.

Provide input on the development and implementation of departmental processes and procedures.

Plan and coordinate projects related to workflows, software systems, processes, and procedures, to increase efficiency and quality of deliverables.

Develop and provide training related to areas of responsibility.  

Complete special projects, requests and additional duties as assigned by management.

Self-monitor progress to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner.

Collaborate with legal, compliance, and commercial team members.

 

Current CONMED teammates may reside anywhere in the United States

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0+ years of experience required or Associate’s degree with 5+ years of legal professional experience or related.
  • External candidates must reside in NY or FL and current CONMED teammates may reside anywhere in the United States.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • High level of attention to detail, service orientation, and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

 

0-20% travel

This position is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship

 

Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is $50,000-$70,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The salary range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
