Pharmacy Intern

• Department: Pharmacy Services
• Schedule: Rotating, PRN (as needed)
• Hospital: St. Joseph
• Location: Milwaukee, WI

Responsibilities:

Perform the duties of a staff pharmacist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

• Under direct supervision, maintain proper narcotic documentation and ensure proper distribution of narcotic medications.
• Under direct supervision, ensure appropriate selection of dosing, administering and monitoring of medication.
• Dispense medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas.
• May compound medications.
• Assist pharmacists with maintaining and monitoring patient profiles.
• Provide medication information and education to medical staff and patients.

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Currently enrolled in, and have successfully completed the 2nd year of, a professional Bachelor of Science program in Pharmacy.
