Marketing Internship (Summer / Fall)

Our mission:    We are working with the National Science Foundation under the iCAP program. We have been tasked with building a mobile application to help reduce anxiety and build happier, more resilient friendships in teens worldwide.

Above all, we are looking for applicants who are passionate and committed to our cause and what we are trying to accomplish

Sense we are a tech startup it helps if you like pizza - just kidding!

 

Requirements

          ***** Be comfortable in making TikTok videos about our app. *****

  • Able to help build a no-cost marketing strategy
  • Very familiar with major social media platforms
  • Help us next fall to do a small launch event at your school

 

Responsibilities

  • Send out DMs or emails on IG accounts to develop new influencers
  • Get in touch with our potential user and social media influencers to obtain feedback and potential collaborations
  • Help us with the following:
    • Plan Launch Events at universities
    • design feedback surveys
    • powerpoint presentations
  • Conduct market research for useful insights
  • Conduct Beta Tests of the app with friends
  • Support the preparation of presentations
  • Participate in our group discussions focused on making the app more helpful to our users with interns from other teams on our weekly zoom calls. There will be 3 zoom calls per week during the summer - days and times to be announced.

What you'll learn and get

  • You will learn how to build an effective overall marketing strategy; social media, news media, partnering with social influencers, time-lines, and analytics
  • If your internship with us is successful - we write GREAT reference letters if you should want one.
  • How to work effectively in a team environment

Qualifications

  • Exceptional organization and communication skills
  • You’re excited by complex tasks and the opportunities that ambiguity can offer
  • Be self-driven, finding innovative ways to help the team
  • Be proficient in Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentation, Skype, and Zoom and analytic programs
