Dumisani Maraire is an esteemed celebrity Event Photographer and Videographer based in the vibrant heart of Hollywood, California. Through his collaborations with Love Heals the World and Red Carpet Series, a premier event photography and videography company in Los Angeles, he specializes in capturing red carpet interviews and providing event photography stills. Dumisani has had the privilege of working with some of the brightest stars, including Snoop Dogg, Akon, Paris Hilton, Tiffany Haddish, and Jimmy Kimmel, among many others. Step into his lens and explore the dynamic world of celebrity photography.

About Us: Assuaged Foundation, Inc. is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in Green Valley Lake, California. We empower marginalized, at-risk college and high-school students through a transformative remote internship program. We combine AI and digital marketing to foster community, diversity, and equity in workforce development, contributing to the digital future of the health and wellness industry.

Position Summary: We are seeking motivated and passionate Video Editor / Post Production Interns to join our team. Interns will serve in roles with our media partner, Red Carpet Series, a premier event photography and videography company in Los Angeles. They will also collaborate with Love Heals the World, an online arts and humanities club dedicated to spreading the healing power of love through music, blogs, and fashion. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in video editing and post-production while contributing to impactful projects that support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Editing: Assist with editing raw interview footage from Cloud and Dropbox.
  • Highlight Reels: Create highlight reels for social media and website.
  • Multi-Camera Content: Manage multi-camera content and audio.
  • Color Grading: Edit color grading and input music in footage.
  • Branding: Add branding logos and information needed on footage.
  • Content Creation: Utilize Assuaged Foundation resources for health-related content creation.
  • Live Discussions: Attend live discussions and mentorship calls.
  • Documentary Projects: Work on Feature Films, Documentaries, Music Videos, Commercials, and TV Pilots, focusing on editing and developing documentary projects.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Mass Media, or a related field.
  • Genuine passion for videography, documentary-styled media, and storytelling.
  • Self-starter who is highly motivated and proactive.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Experience with or interest in learning color correction, sound design/sound mixing, and VFX.
  • Proficiency in CapCut and Canva is a plus.
  • Organized, thorough, accountable, dedicated, and professional attitude.
  • Access to a MacBook Pro Laptop, high-powered PC, iMac, or Mac Pro Tower with editing software installed.
  • Owns an external hard drive with available space for projects (2-4TB).
  • Knowledge of motion graphics is a huge plus but not required.
