This position reports to Senior Project Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.


The work model for the role is: Remote


This role is contributing to the Electrification Business.


You will be mainly accountable for:
• Partner with the HR Program Manager to prepare for and participate in project reviews. Analyze and update project progress, to support project related reports.
• Support or lead schedule discussions in HR project reviews or internal meetings.
• Track project budget, update monthly reports, identify variations, analyze the variations rationale and escalate or seek approval for variances.
• Perform analysis for critical path and help establish mitigation plans.
• Partner with key stakeholders to create HR project presentations.
• Manage HR Project documentation and access in Teams/Share Point, assuring all project related documents, presentations and communications are stored properly and easily located.
• Organize and manage HR project schedules and calendar creating a culture of accountability through transparency and collaboration.

Qualifications for the role

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master's degree program, in the United States, focused on Human Resources or Project Management.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
  • Proficient in Office 365 particularly Excel and Power Point.
  • Strong fluent written and spoken English language skills.
  • Experience working in a global environment and/or collaborating effectively within cross functional teams is highly preferred.

The hourly rate is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications, graduation year and experience. This position is expected to pay between $22 - $26 per hour.
