Esurgi is looking for a motivated and self-driven Business Intern. The Business Intern at Esurgi will research potential investors and draft applications. This is an unpaid internship. This internship is suitable for those who seek to understand business models and investments, and is a good option for CPT, OPT, or credit.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform extensive research on various investors to determine if they are a good fit for the project.
- Draft investment application.
- Create pitch decks for potential investors/update pitch decks in accordance with updates to the product.
- Identify relevant venture capital and angel investors.
- Lead venture capital outreach and proactively foster effective relationships to make fundraising targets.
Minimum Requirements:
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a sense of ownership
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Interest and ability to do comprehensive internet research.
- Writing skills.
- Ability to work remotely, independently, and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior experience with investors, or an early-stage start-up company or within the strategy field and consulting
- Interested in or has knowledge of biomedical devices
- Creative thinker with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with the concept of value proposition
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint + comfortable with Microsoft online
- Majoring in Business, Management, Entrepreneurship, or any related field

About our internships: An archetypical internship at Esurgi is essentially a special project in the work setting. The interns will be assigned a mentor with an executive background. The intern and the mentor will develop an internship plan. This will be based on the intern educational background, career goals, and realistic (preferably interdisciplinary/team) projects within the Esurgi sphere. The plan includes objectives, success factors, and deliverables. The intern and mentor will meet regularly to review the progress and plan of the intern.
