Radio Promotion Intern (Fall 2024)

ABOUT US:

The Syndicate is an award-winning independent entertainment marketing agency with a nimble, smart, and innovative team. Founded in 1998, The Syndicate is dedicated to providing clients (including the likes of HBO Max, Taco Bell, Disney Music Group, and more) with the results to achieve their most creative goals. Services include radio promotion, public relations, label services, and event planning, as well as digital, social media, grassroots, and experiential marketing. Not only are we experts in all things music, comedy, and pop culture...we live and breathe it. 

The Syndicate’s office is based right outside of New York City in Weehawken, NJ.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Syndicate is currently seeking interns who are passionate, driven, and eager to be a part of our award-winning radio department! We're looking for a student who is ready to step into our fast-paced environment and help us perform at the highest level. This person will be an integral member of our team and will work collaboratively with our college, alternative, non-comm, and loud rock promotion staff. 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: ­

  • Someone who lives and breathes a passion for music
  • General knowledge of radio charts & radio formats
  • Comfortable learning new databases and digital platforms; previous use of Squarespace & DISCO are a plus
  • A passion for radio, attending live concerts, and artist development is paramount
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • A self-motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to multi-task and take direction in a fast-paced environment

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY:

  • Must be enrolled in a matriculated program, in pursuit of a degree at an accredited institution
  • Must be able to earn college credit
  • Must be able to commit to working remotely, on a hybrid schedule, or in-office from 10am-6pm, 2-5 days per week (exceptions offered on a case-by-case basis due to class schedules)
  • Start & end dates are flexible based on on your schedule
  • Must check with your school's Internship Coordinator BEFORE accepting the hiring offer to determine if this position satisfies the criteria for receiving academic credit
