Corporate Relations Specialist

Internship Title: Corporate Relations Specialist 

Company Overview: The Center for Societal Aspiration is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rehabilitating vulnerable members of our community. The CSACO will currently serve individuals facing challenges such as addiction, homelessness, or poverty. Our organization offers a comprehensive range of programs encompassing Health & Human Services and Career Services. Harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) and mobile technology, we deliver an intensive and personalized approach to care while providing access to an array of healthcare professionals and career mentors. 

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and creative volunteer Corporate Relations Specialist to join our Development team. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting our fundraising efforts by engaging with various community members, individuals, and corporate initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about nonprofit work, eager to gain hands-on experience in fundraising and marketing, and looking to make a meaningful impact in the community. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and Managing Corporate Partnerships: Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with corporate partners to secure funding and in-kind support.
  2. Sponsorship Coordination: Develop sponsorship packages and manage sponsor relationships for events and programs, ensuring benefits are delivered as promised.
  3. Corporate Engagement Strategy: Design and implement strategies to engage corporate partners in various initiatives, including volunteer opportunities, employee giving programs, and cause marketing.
  4. Donor Stewardship: Ensure corporate donors receive timely recognition and updates on the impact of their contributions, fostering long-term relationships.
  5. Reporting and Analysis: Track and report on corporate fundraising activities, outcomes, and the impact of corporate contributions on the organization's programs.
  6. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, communications, and program teams, to align corporate partnerships with the organization’s broader goals.
  7. Budget Management: Monitor and manage budgets related to corporate fundraising activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  8. Compliance and Ethical Standards: Ensure all corporate fundraising activities comply with ethical standards and relevant laws, including donor confidentiality and transparency in reporting.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, sales, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate volunteers and donors.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Experience with fundraising or marketing (preferred but not required).
  • Passionate about nonprofit work and committed to making a positive impact in the community.
