Salary: $58,316.00- $74,980. Starting salary depends on qualifications.

About the Position: This role involves affirmative action contract compliance work at the full performance level. Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing bids, contracts, and compliance plans.
  • Participating in the certification of minority/disadvantaged business firms.
  • Interviewing business firm representatives and reviewing financial records.
  • Monitoring contracts for compliance with affirmative action guidelines.
  • Analyzing certified minority/disadvantaged, disabled, and female-owned firms to determine their participation levels prior to bidding.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with representatives of departments, agencies, and businesses.
  • Work is performed under the supervision of a technical superior and may involve rotating assignments between units.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • Certification as a Certified Compliance Administrator or an industry-relevant certification/experience may substitute for the degree.

Experience:

  • Two years in affirmative action contract compliance and certification work or
  • Two years of administrative experience interpreting regulations, laws, and procedures related to affirmative action.
  • A master’s degree or certificate program from an accredited college or university or recognized professional association in a related field may substitute for one year of the required experience.

Physical & Medical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform duties and work in required environmental conditions.

Required Licenses & Certifications:

  • Candidates must submit a copy of their official college or university transcript(s) indicating completion of the educational requirement and all required licenses, registrations, or certifications at the time of application.
  • Candidates with a degree from foreign colleges or universities must submit proof of degree as certified by a professional evaluation service.

  • Must establish residency in Philadelphia within one year of appointment.

Preference:
