Mars Cyber Security Internship Experience
As a Mars Cyber Security Intern, you will gain exposure to the following areas:
As a Global Cyber Security Intern for Mars Wrigley, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable exposure to various aspects of the cyber security field. Here are some of the key areas and experiences that you can expect to be exposed to during your internship:
Risk Assessment and Analysis:
- You will actively participate in cyber security risk assessment processes for a specific entity within the organization.
- You will learn how to use industry-standard frameworks and methodologies to evaluate and prioritize risks.
- Gain hands-on experience in conducting security assessments.
Security by Design for Digital Products:
- Collaborate closely with product development teams to integrate security measures into the design and development process of digital products.
- Gain exposure to security requirements, secure coding practices, and the implementation of security controls within software applications.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Interact with professionals from various departments, such as IT, development, and management, to understand the organization's overall security needs and objectives.
- Learn how to communicate effectively about cyber security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Professional Development:
- Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced cyber security professionals who will provide insights and knowledge to help you grow in the field.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber security trends, threats, and best practices through team discussions, training sessions, and independent research.
Real-World Application:
- Apply theoretical knowledge from your coursework to real-world scenarios and challenges.
- Contribute to improving the organization's cyber security posture, which has a direct impact on its operations, data protection, and reputation.
What we’re looking for:
- Pursuing a degree in Cyber Security, Information Systems, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Business Acumen and fundamental understanding of how to relate cyber security risks to the potential impact on the business.
- Basic understanding of cyber security concepts, risk assessment, and common vulnerabilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Eagerness to learn and stay up to date with the latest cyber security trends and threats.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to group discussions.
