Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Specialist

Description:
The US Planning Center (USPC) is comprised of US Production Planning, Export Customer Operations, and Global Master Data functions. The Export Customer Operations team develops and executes replenishment plans to ensure the highest level of customer service at minimal operational costs. This team manages communication, scheduling, and documentation for shipping nutritional products and medical devices from North American sources. As a Senior Supply Chain Specialist, you will serve as the primary liaison with customers, ensuring on-time product delivery and accurate documentation in compliance with Abbott's standards and import regulations.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Oversee product shipments from manufacturing and distribution locations across the Americas to Abbott affiliates and customers worldwide.
  • Allocate products efficiently to optimize container utilization and minimize transportation costs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication regarding shipments and other business aspects.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective action plans to improve performance.
  • Maintain the Master Arrivals Schedule (MAS) to ensure replenishments align with market demand and safety stock levels.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain effectiveness, improve customer service, and reduce costs.
  • Manage customer and shipping requirements, including system parameters, policies, and procedures.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with internal and external supply chain partners.
  • Represent customers' needs within Abbott's supply chain operations.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in international logistics (preferred but not required)
  • Strong conflict resolution abilities

Education:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Logistics
  • Minimum requirement: Associate's degree
  • Candidates with a Master's degree may be considered overqualified, but will be considered if willing to take the role.

Additional Information:

  • Work schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day work-from-home
  • Entry-level positions and internships are acceptable, as experience
