2025 BOLT Intern - Accounting (Corporate Controller Group)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • The intern will work closely with Kinder Morgan professionals, specifically focused on technical accounting: derivatives, hedging, and research, through on the job training and hands-on assignments including, but not limited to, allocations, journal entries, reconciliations, research, and financial reporting.
  • The intern will have the opportunity to work with two or more functional areas of Kinder Morgan: Accounting Policies and Procedures, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Segment Accounting
  • Assist in monthly close process
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly disclosures for SEC financial reporting
     

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, MS Word, & Outlook
  • Ability to learn, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to deadlines
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills: listens intently; writes and speaks clearly
  • Takes initiative, highly adaptive, pays attention to detail, and works efficiently
