Remote Corporate Accounting Intern

Springer Capital is a real estate investment firm based in Chicago, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Springer engages in Capital Advisory for APAC Private Equity and Asset Management making financial investments in real estate and other sectors in US markets. 

Springer seeks motivated and intellectually curious candidates to join us as an intern focusing on accounting. The internship can be onsite in Shanghai or conducted remotely. The start date of the internship is flexible.  

Job Highlights 

You will be helping Springer Capital prepare financial data using accounting software. Throughout the internship, you will be familiarized with various accounting statements and their usage in real estate projects. 

What you will do as an intern: 

Prepare journal entries to document real estate project transactions 

Regularly check and keep track of bank data 

Extract relevant data from banks and transactions to prepare accounting statements (e.g., balance sheet and income statement) 

Keep abreast of market news and relevant accounting rules 

Our commitment to your development: 

Overarching and detailed training materials before interns hit the desk 

Interns will have group calls with the director and supervisors regularly for up-to-date and constructive feedback 

Greater leadership and responsibilities will be given to interns based on work quality 

Who we are looking for: 

Experience with finance/business/accounting classes for at least 2 years 

Effective communication and presentation skills 

Active learner mindset 

Time management 

Research and problem-solving abilities 

Proficiency in business software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Technical and Legal Information 

The internship enrollment period is flexible. The expected hours are 20 per week for ~3 months. Upon completion, you will receive an internship confirmation letter, or you can apply to your school for internship credit.
