Store Operations Summer 2025 Intern

Overall Job Summary

Tractor Supply Co. is seeking a motivated Corporate Store Operations Summer Intern to join our corporate team for a 11-week paid internship in the Nashville/Brentwood, TN area. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into corporate-level store operations and contribute to the success of our retail locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Operational Analysis: Assist in analyzing store operational metrics and performance data to identify areas for improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with corporate store operations teams to develop and implement process improvement initiatives and best practices.
  • Store Communication: Support the development of communication materials and training resources for store teams.
  • Store Visits: Participate in store visits to gain firsthand experience and insights into store operations, customer service, and merchandising.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management processes, including stock allocation, replenishment strategies, and inventory analysis.
  • Project Support: Contribute to store operations projects and initiatives, which may include new store openings, store remodels, and technology implementations.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis tools to extract insights from operational data and make data-driven recommendations.

What We Look For

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Enthusiasm for retail operations and process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a corporate team.
  • Willingness to travel for store visits, if required.
