This position is located at Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands.

Essential Functions
- Use measurement standards in conjunction with U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, manufacturer, and local calibration procedures.
- Perform tests, calibrations, verifications, and repairs of TMDE following standard metrology and USATA guidelines.
- Conduct quality assurance audits, intermediate checks, and end item inspections in accordance with U.S. Army regulations and USATA guidelines.
- Strong ability to utilize various computer software to perform research, prepare required calibration reports, and submit changes to calibration procedures.
- Perform production and control duties and needed.
- Fill in with Calibration Supervisor duties if needed during absences.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Thorough understanding and high-level working knowledge of Traceability, Substitution of Standards, and Test Accuracy and Uncertainty Ratios requirements.
- Highly inquisitive and willing to continuously improve and learn new skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with customers and coworkers.
- Thorough understanding to calibrate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment used to measure temperature, electrical, mechanical, flow, mass, and other properties.
- Proactive and self motivated to research and provide resolutions to issues and find suitable substitutes or alternatives. Ability to think innovatively and pursue creative solutions.
- Strong applied and working knowledge of compliance with ISO and NIST traceability.
- Expert knowledge of test equipment and capabilities such as tolerance requirements and 4:1 TAR.
- Develop and updates Calibration Lab Policies and Procedures, understands and interprets Army Regulations and instrumentation/calibration principles and provides training and guidance to new technicians.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in metrology or related field; or a combination of education and experience to include military training.
- Five or more years of current experience in a private, commercial, or military laboratory.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair as needed various types of instrumentation and equipment to include but not limited to (Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Digital Meters, Torque wrenches, pressure gauges, scales).
- Exceptional Computer skills to support project managers effectively to manage and project expenses.
- Experience in the use of automated calibration programs; Army ICE automated calibration software, SureCal, MET.
- TEAM/METCAL, LogWare III and TIMMS database Management System desired.
- Strong Computer skills to maintain computers and software; ensure software for the commercial automated calibration programs remains up to date.
- Calibration certification preferred.
- Certifications such ISA, ASQ etc. preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Capable of lifting 25 pounds unassisted.
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements. This includes the ability to respond to notifications in event the building is found unsecure or the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is activated.
- This position is unaccompanied.
- Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport
- Ability to maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
