Commercial Internship

You’ll contribute to ongoing projects, getting an intimate look at how Covestro identifies customer needs and keeps the flow of new and established products moving through the marketplace. The internship program will begin in mid-May of 2025, and last approximately 12-weeks. 

Main Responsibilities
• Coordinate the activities of the Sales team, including events, sales schedules and programs, to ensure smooth processes
• Coordinate project activities and initiatives to foster successful business steering
• Monitor and evaluate sales and expenses compared to budget and forecast to enable steering measures
• Analyze and process information according to business needs to facilitate internal efforts by management functions and tactical actions
• Analyze the existing distribution structure and coordinate the distribution in line with the business segment requirements to facilitate the development and implementation of distribution concepts
• Monitor business performance (pricing, margins) with distributors compared to budget/planning to enable steering measures
• Analyze and share sales reports as well as market and industry trends to facilitate controlling, tracking and monitoring

WHAT YOU OFFER
 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program majoring in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or Material Engineering
  • Completed junior year

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal training in commercial field plus substantial working experience in sales
