Marketing Intern (Summer 2025)

Job Description

Sales wins (success stories) development and communications – Work with sellers to capture sales wins and communicate to organization; Generate customer case studies from this content 

POTENTIAL PROJECTS:

MARKETING ANALYSIS PROJECTS

Customer information analysis – Work to improve the quality of our customer contacts within our lead management tools; Analyze our database to generate customer targets / lists to support marketing campaigns and program execution

IIR analysis – Analyze these resources to identify potential contacts based on target criteria and work with Inside Sales Team to target these accounts

Market analysis – Research and analyze the electrical testing and maintenance markets to better guide future growth planning.  What is our market size? What segments/ regions/ industries present the highest CAGR for us? Develop marketing dashboards

 

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS PROJECTS

Sales wins (success stories) development and communications – Work with sellers to capture sales wins and communicate to organization; Generate customer case studies from this content

PR and article development – Work with agency and internal SMEs to develop article placements

 

DIGITAL MAREKTING PROJECTS

Execute Google Ad campaigns and email campaigns – Support the team to develop, execute and analyze Google Advertising and email campaigns

Website and SEO improvements for ERS/ HVM/ eti – Work with corporate SEO and marketing teams to help implement actions / content that improves SEO performance of our websiteOur websites are an underutilized channel that we need to better leverage and optimize.

Social media – Continue to build and support our social media communities for ERS/ HVM/ eti.  Create new social media content.

Virtual event execution – Plan and manage corporate presence at online virtual events including webinars.

 

PRODUCT MARKETING PROJECTS

Major Account Marketing – Work with Marketing Director and the major accounts team to drive land and expand strategies within our major accounts.

Industry Marketing (Contractors, DataCenters, and Renewables) – Develop industry specific marketing content for ERS/HVM key industries and drive business within key industries including Contractors, Data Centers, and Renewables.  These segments present great growth opportunities and need focused attention.

Additional Support for ERS CoEs – Execute product marketing for specific CoEs areas of focus (ie. Transformer Svs or P&C Services). Currently, we have minimal marketing efforts trying to support all the CoE areas. 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCES AND ABILITIES:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate student with emphasis on marketing, marketing communications or related focus
  • Understanding of social media channels and practices including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team and remote resources
  • Strong data analysis skills to conduct market segmentation to determine potential sales targets
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products – Word, PPT, Excel
