Financial Institution Intern

Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is hiring interns for 2025!!   

Financial Institution Interns will be assigned to the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS). Interns will work directly on teams of experienced FDIC employees to evaluate bank operations, business planning, and risk management strategies. These teams are responsible for assessing financial institutions to determine if they are following safe and sound banking practices, maintaining effective internal controls and procedures, managing their institutions effectively, and complying with all applicable laws and regulations.

Although conversion to a full-time position is not guaranteed, participants may be converted to a position as a Financial Institution Specialist based upon meeting the Pathways Program requirements, completion of 6 hours in accounting, the successful completion of a skills assessment and a recommendation from management.
