The Scale Up, Tech Transfer and Pilot Plant Team is a global platform team, responsible for scaling up and delivering innovation to consumers worldwide. We leverage the power of teamwork, curiosity, scientific excellence, and consumer obsession to deliver superior solutions to everyday problems.
As a Process Engineering Associate- Coop Student with the Scale Up team, you will get the opportunity to work with one of the market leaders in pain relief and collaborate with experts across the global organization.
What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?
- Work in a compliant manner to ensure the safety of yourself, others, and the protection of the environment
- Demonstrate excellence in the application and communication of statistical science in new product development.
- Under minimum supervision, perform tasks necessary to create a common repository of manufacturing processes and analysis on analytical data.
- Data entry and organization on MS Excel and entry into statistical software as required.
- Under the supervision of a senior staff, apply standard data science methods to solve analytical questions, including collecting data, cleaning data, and apply quantitative data science methods to predict product performance
- Collaborate with Pilot Plant team, Statisticians, and/or data analysts to ensure accuracy to extracted data and modeling tools. Use a QbD approach to substantiate trends and propose formulations for Voltaren line extension
- Conclude findings during tenure as coop student in a statistically focused technical report.

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity:
Education required:
- Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Chemical, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science or related fields
- Must be within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program.
Other requirements:
- Ability to start in January 2025.
- Candidate must be eligible to work on a full-time basis (40 hours a week) during the co-op duration (6 months).
- Provide your own funding for relocation and commuting.
- This role is onsite at our Richmond, VA location
- Strong experience on statistical software (JMP software) would be preferred
- Strong experience in data analysis and its interpretation
- Ideally, be a member in process engineering or data science organization at college level
- Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.
