Application Development Intern

What you will be doing

Our 10-week paid internship program has been developed to provide students with hands-on experience to learn more about the Healthcare industry and the impact to human and animal health.  This internship program will provide you with professional development, networking and volunteer opportunities.  You will learn about the Guiding Principles of our culture but most importantly, have the opportunity to become a key contributor in the future talent pipeline of Cencora. 

 

Start Date: June 2, 2025 

End Date: August 8. 2025 

 

The primary duties and responsibilities will be defined as follows.

  • Work on technical projects with the eCommerce team.
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings to discuss assigned tasks and collaborate with team.
  • Deliver assigned stories/spikes and defects
  • Assist with documentation and testing as assigned.

 

What your background should look like 

  • Computer Science or similar major field of study.
  • Must not require sponsorship to work in the US now or in the future
  • Understanding and ability to read\write business requirements.
  • Web development experience
  • Experience with JEE development with frameworks such as Spring
  • Experience/Exposure with UI JavaScript framework such as React
  • Understanding of the CICD cycles
  • Understand the concept of agile methodology
  • Understanding of relational database design and theory
  • Understanding of typical use cases and benefits for typical design approaches such as client/server, SOA, etc.

 

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Good project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills
  • Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
  • Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook
