Esurgi is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic iOS Developer Intern. In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our iOS applications, gaining valuable hands-on experience in mobile app development. This unpaid internship is ideal for those looking to deepen their understanding of iOS development and mobile technology. It's a great option for CPT, OPT, or course credit. Job Responsibilities: 

App Development: Collaborate with our development team to design, build, and maintain iOS applications. Work on various aspects of app development, including UI/UX design, functionality, and performance optimization. 

Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and practices within the team. 

Testing and Debugging: Assist in testing and debugging applications to ensure a high-quality user experience. Identify and resolve issues and bugs in a timely manner. 

Feature Implementation: Work on implementing new features and enhancing existing functionalities based on user feedback and project requirements. 

Documentation: Document code, development processes, and best practices to ensure clear communication and maintainability. 
 

Minimum Requirements: 

Basic understanding of Swift and iOS development frameworks such as UIKit or SwiftUI. 

Familiarity with Xcode and iOS development tools. 

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. 

Effective time management and organizational skills. 

Preferred Requirements: 

Experience with version control systems such as Git. 

Understanding of mobile app design principles and user experience best practices. 

Interest in or knowledge of biomedical devices and their applications. 

Creative thinker with strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

About our internships: An archetypical internship at Esurgi is essentially a special project in the work setting. The interns will be assigned a mentor with an executive background. The intern and the mentor will develop an internship plan. This will be based on the intern educational background, career goals, and realistic (preferably interdisciplinary/team) projects within the Esurgi sphere. The plan includes objectives, success factors, and deliverables. The intern and mentor will meet regularly to review the progress and plan of the intern.

Duration & Time: 6 months, part-time (20-25 hours/week)
