Business Strategy Analyst Intern

Veritiv’s Summer Internship Program offers competitive pay and provides a chance to put your education into action while obtaining real, marketable skills at a growing company. This position is a full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid internship that will begin on June 2, 2025 and conclude on August 8, 2025.

Job Purpose: 

Our Strategy Analyst Intern will be responsible for assisting Veritiv’s business leaders in their decision-making process. You will get critical business questions from marketing, product management or pricing team. You will work with data scientists and analysts to develop analyses that track our operations and answer those business questions. Your creative thinking comes into play in analyzing problems and framing data in a business context.

Job Responsibilities:

● Collaborate with multiple internal customers on projects and presentations.
● Identify opportunities to streamline process improvements.
● Take ownership of a project and then assist other team members to support company initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

● Research on key strategic questions in product management, marketing, pricing or strategy.

● Combine internal business data, external market data and your own analysis to develop actionable insights that are visually appealing and simple to navigate for the end users.

● Collaborate with multiple internal customers on projects, requests and presentations.

● MBA preferred.

● Excellent understanding of business problems.

● Excellent skill in Excel or other data processing tools

Work Experience:

● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.

● Ability to work in a team environment.

● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.

● Must be highly motivated, flexible and deadline driven.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

● Strong planning and organization skills are required.

● Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills are required.

● The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Education:

● Bachelor's Degree In Progress
