Entry-Level Environmental Engineer

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to be based in Jacksonville, FL .

This position is expected to begin immediately.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Field work including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, remediation system O&M and troubleshooting, drilling and other subcontractor oversight

Builds analytic and design skills.

Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an

experienced engineer.

Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.

As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

Engineering Intern license.

Path towards Professional Engineering license.

Thorough understanding of site characterization and remediation guidelines as provided in Florida Administrative Codes.

Experience with FDEP Petroleum Restoration Program.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

This position requires an in-office work in Jacksonville, FL.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $55,000.00 - $70,000.00.
