Operations Analyst Intern | Summer 2025
Overview
FMI’s Performance Practice is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated intern to work closely with our consulting team next summer. We work alongside leading firms across the Built Environment as they face a wide range of strategic and operational performance issues. If you are passionate about solving complex problems, serving clients, and making an impact on the direction and trajectory of industry leading firms, we look forward to hearing from you.
This paid internship requires a commitment of 40-hours per week for 10 weeks during Summer 2025. This opportunity is based in our Tampa, Florida office.
All applicants for employment must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
Responsibilities
- Working directly with performance consulting team
- Interacting with people at all levels across FMI including senior-level executives
- Meeting demanding client deadlines while supporting engagements with multiple clients simultaneously
- Collecting secondary market insights through various online databases and published sources
- Utilizing intelligence and software tools to analyze and synthesize complex information
- Synthesizing findings into well-written and visually compelling summary reports and presentations
- Categorizing and storing market data in a highly organized fashion on an on-going basis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in progress (construction management, civil engineering, business, management or finance)
- 1 year of professional work experience
- Ability to thrive with minimal direction and supervision in an ambiguous work environment
- Superior organizational, time management and project management skills, and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
- Construction industry knowledge and/or experience a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Previous experience with Tableau and Qualtrics is a plus
This full-time, paid internship requires a commitment of 40 hours per week for a period of 10 weeks over the summer and pays $28/hr.
