We’re currently looking for an EV Battery Engineering Intern to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI.
The 4R Engineering Team provides technical support for our 4R Business Unit. 4R is an emerging field that will extract value from EV Batteries at the end of the vehicle’s life. These batteries can be used for Energy Storage, other mobility uses, and many other applications. Nissan’s leadership in the EV field since the launch of the LEAF in 2010 positions us to lead this exciting new field. Our team provides the technical support necessary to ensure success in this new market.
A Day in the Life:
- Help establish test and certification standards for EV Batteries for use in 2nd Life applications like Stationary Energy Storage Systems
- Assist with testing EV Batteries and analyzing results.
- Help evaluate potential suppliers and partners for EV Battery 2nd Life products.
- Study technology and market trends in the field of EV Battery Remanufacturing, Repurposing, and Recycling
Who We’re Looking for:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Storage Systems, or a related field
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Strong interest in developing new markets and technology.
- Highly creative, problem-solving outlook.
- Strong organizational ability with keen attention to detail
- Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skill sets
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Ability to perform work onsite in Farmington Hills, MI
