We are currently looking for an Industrial Maintenance Engineering Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN and will be a full-time role.
A Day in the Life:
- Handling special engineering project(s) as determined by the department including job plans, material procurements, and budget guidelines. These projects are based on need by shop within the plant and change on a year-to-year basis.
- Assisting Supervisor in the following to learn a broad scope of maintenance tasks required for successful daily operations such as shift meetings, downtime and major breakdown reporting, monitoring production, ensuring safety checks and training
- Handling work orders, job scheduling and assignments, PM system assignments, root cause analysis, and covering as interim supervisor if needed when deemed ready and with support
Who We’re Looking for:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering- mechanical, mechatronics, or electrical preferred.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
- Self-motivated and ability to multi-task with day-to-day priorities
- Great communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to perform work onsite at Smyrna, TN
Additional Requirements:
- Overtime work may be required
- Afternoon, Nightshift or Weekend work schedule may be required
