Internship (Part Time) - Business Development

Job Summary

The Intern Business Development position is a formal training/development position with specific responsibilities within the Sales & Marketing division. It has an individual work plan that outlines specific duties and projects for the duration of the internship as well as overall goals for the internship period.

Essential Functions

Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Supports the Product Development Manager and Market Leads in the execution of the overall Growth/Business Development strategy and activities to achieve business objectives, drive brand growth and generate new customer leads
  • Assists with market research to support key activities, including but not limited to preparing sales presentations and assist in creating or updating sales strategies
  • Assists with collecting, tracking and analysis of industry and market trends
  • Assists in business development administrative tasks such as maintaining the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System
  • Assists with collecting and assembling company profiles as requested
  • Participates in market capture planning
  • Assists with gathering, organizing and analyzing opportunity requirements and help determine product alignment
  • Collaborates closely with operational areas to build and maintain products
  • Assists with creating partner reports and summaries in the CRM

Non-Essential Duties and Functions

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Management or related field as determined by HR
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills
  • Possesses knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

Above requirements and the following:

  • 3 months' work experience
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Knowledgeable in US healthcare industry

Environment and Cognitive/Physical Demands

  • Office Environment
  • Ability to read, hear, speak, keyboard, reason, communicate effectively and problem solve
  • Requires prolonged sitting and telephone usage
  • Requires the use of office equipment such as computers, telephones, copiers and printers
  • Infrequent lifting to 15 pounds
  • Infrequent stooping

Below is the salary range for potential new hires.

Salary Range: $17.20 - $20.60

Lifestyle Benefit: $50/month
