Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to join our finance team and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting within the construction industry. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world scenarios, develop practical skills, and contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
- Support month-end close procedures by reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and analyzing financial data.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors to support departmental objectives.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong academic record with coursework in accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and contribute to organizational goals.
