Note: This position is a temporary, limited term assignment.
The Talent Acquisition Intern will assist with work related to talent acquisition and human resources. Work involves supporting agency operations with a primary focus on gaining practical work experience and business skills for personal development or to satisfy educational requirements. The incumbent will proactively work with the Talent team, OE staff, Intern Cohort, and agency employees.
This position will start May 15th and will end August 8th 2025.
Salary will be dependent upon education level:
Undergraduate (Junior or Senior) - $19.50/hour
Graduate Student - $21.00/hour
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Talent Acquisition and Human Resources
• Assists with the coordination of TRS summer intern activities.
• Updates TRS recruitment sites including creating templates for future use and maintenance.
• Assists with new hire processing, orientation, and onboarding.
• Assists with creating external job postings, reviewing applications, and processing candidate assessments and evaluations.
• Edits current system site(s) to ensure content is accurate, up to date, and aligns with TRS careers brand.
• Compiles and analyzes Talent Acquisition data and reports. Assists in creating ROI reports on job fairs, job posting sites, and external partnerships.
• Assists with Talent Acquisition review processes including I9 reviews, interview documentation, and onboarding forms.
• Works with Talent Acquisitions staff to create social media content in association with recruitment and TRS branding initiatives.
Onboarding
• Assists with the recruitment, onboarding, and management of summer internship program.
• Works with Talent Acquisition team to design, develop and implement training and presentation materials.
• Designs and updates onboarding materials, handouts, and PowerPoint presentations as needed.
• Shadows Talent Acquisition Team Lead to facilitate onboarding program coursework.
• Performs related work as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Required Education
One of the following must be met:
• Currently enrolled in and actively attending an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student with a declared major in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field AND within 12 months of graduation; OR
• Enrolled as a graduate student (Master or Doctoral) in a related program.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Applicant will be required to submit a copy of official college transcripts.
Required Experience
• Experience designing and developing presentation or training materials.
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate persuasively and credibly, verbally and written.
• Diplomatic problem-solving skills to resolve issues with internal customers.
Required Registration, Certification, Licensure
• None.
Preferred Qualifications
• Letter(s) of recommendation from program professor(s) are strongly encouraged.
• Experience using Microsoft Office software.
• Enrolled as a graduate student (Master or Doctoral) in a related program.
• Experience compiling and presenting data in either an academic or professional setting
• Experience in creating dynamic social media marketing materials

Knowledge of:
• General office practices and procedures.
Skills in:
• Organizing and prioritizing work to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment and completing work accurately while meeting deadlines.
• Verbal and written communication of complex information that is accurate, timely, and based on sound judgment.
• Providing quality customer service.
• Using a personal computer in a Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) environment, and accurately performing data entry.
Ability to:
• Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, agency staff, and other external contacts.
• Work effectively in a professional team environment.
Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Codes:
