Duties

  • Serve as a front-line, uniformed representative of the NPS, answering visitor questions and explaining the area's recreational opportunities, including NPS interpretive services, concession operated facilities and services, campground availability, hiking trails, etc.
  • Perform assignments in accordance with all NPS and U.S. Treasury regulations governing the handling of government funds. Inventory and/or restock fee program supplies and assist with placing orders and preparing requisition requests for equipment/supplies as needed.

Additional duties for GS-06: Review and verify the accuracy of manuals and/or standard operating procedures for the implementation of new and existing system designs and/or modifications.

Additional duties for GS-06: Provide informal and formal training and education to employees, partners, volunteers, interns, cooperating association representatives, etc. regarding automated and non-automated fee processes, systems, software programs,

Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
