Equity Compensation & Employment Tax Associate

The Equity Compensation & Employment Tax Winter Associate will develop and manage our executive compensation and equity programs. These programs must align with the organization's strategic objectives and comply with regulatory and tax requirements. In this role, you will lead the day-to-day administration of compensation for our partners and senior executives, including base salary, short-term incentives (STI), equity awards, and relevant benefits. Additionally, you will play a key role in driving aspects of our global compensation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute executive compensation strategies, including base salary, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, and equity-based compensation plans.
  • Design and customize executive compensation plans based on individual and organizational performance goals, while adhering to corporate governance guidelines.
  • Stay updated on tax laws, securities regulations, and corporate governance requirements to ensure executive compensation plans comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Negotiate and oversee executive employment contracts and compensation agreements, addressing individual needs and organizational goals.
    Manage equity-based compensation programs for executives, including stock options, restricted stock units, and performance-based awards.
  • Prepare and present executive compensation proposals to the board of directors and shareholders, addressing concerns and providing rationale for compensation decisions.
  • Establish performance metrics and goals for executive compensation plans, ensuring they align with the company's overall performance objectives.
  • Communicate compensation programs to senior leadership, ensuring a clear understanding of the elements and objectives of each plan.
  • Analyze compensation data, market trends, and competitive benchmarks to make informed recommendations for executive compensation adjustments.
  • Primary contact for our partners and executive leadership to provide accurate, timely information to our leadership and key business stakeholders (i.e., Tax, Payroll, Accounting, People Team)
  • Equity Administration platform and vendor relationship management

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prepare US individual income tax returns and cost projections for inbound and outbound international employees.
  • Researching & analyzing tax laws, rules and regulations and analyzing pertinent client, industry, and technical matters.
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Interact with various levels of client and Vialto management through both written and verbal communications.
  • Demonstrates ability with automation & digitization in a professional services environment including the following areas:
  • Innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions.
  • Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools.

Job Requirements and Preferences:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Fields of Study: Accounting, Taxation, Economics, Business Administration/Management, International Business.

  • Location: New York/ Stamford
  • Compensation: $45,000-$75,000. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data
