Cheniere Energy’s 2025 Summer Internship Program is a 12-week paid internship program that will run from May 19, 2025 to August 8, 2025. As an Intern with Cheniere you’ll gain hands-on experience applying principles in your discipline from the classroom to the real world. You’ll work on a variety of projects that impact the overall success of the Company, develop your technical skillsets, and gain invaluable experience that will prepare you for success in the Energy industry. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will engage with senior leadership during monthly Role Model Lunches, help support organizational goals through community service events, and network with your peers at Intern social events throughout the summer.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Operations & Maintenance Process Intern will report directly to the Process Lead Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Become familiar with CCL PFDs, P&IDs, Documentum and other plant information.
- Assist the Process or Process Safety team to provide operational support, while learning on the job about the plant design.
- Work on mini-projects for process improvement, process problem solving, process monitoring and process safety activities etc.
- Work hands-on with various plant monitoring systems e.g. PI and other DCS information
- Field walkdowns to gain more knowledge of typical train piping and equipment, operator activities, instrumentation, etc. to better understand existing installations.
- If the intern is supporting both Process and Process Safety, the time will be split at 50% for each

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Must have strong oral and written communications skills, be able to work effectively and build relationships with others.
- Must have good organization and planning skills, demonstrate effective project coordination, facilitation, and implementation based on past work or school experiences.
- Must possess deductive reasoning skills, be able to analyze and synthesize information for problem solving.
- Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email software, internet searching, and other programs (e.g. plant simulation software).
- Completion of course work in thermodynamics; heat transfer and fluid flow is very helpful for planned work activities
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education, Training and Certifications:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a four-year accredited college or university and a course of study, relevant to the department/function of interest.
- Major: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Requires eligibility to work in the United States.
