Cheniere Energy’s 2025 Summer Internship Program is a 12-week paid internship program that will run from May 19, 2025 to August 8, 2025. As an Intern with Cheniere you’ll gain hands-on experience applying principles in your discipline from the classroom to the real world. You’ll work on a variety of projects that impact the overall success of the Company, develop your technical skillsets, and gain invaluable experience that will prepare you for success in the Energy industry. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will engage with senior leadership during monthly Role Model Lunches, help support organizational goals through community service events, and network with your peers at Intern social events throughout the summer.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Process Services Intern will work in the SPL O&M Process or Process Safety engineering teams and participate in various activities related to maintaining safe and reliable operations of the LNG facility. The role is located in Cameron, Louisiana at the SPL facility.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provides technical support to the Production team regarding process related issues.
  • Provides technical support to the capital project team regarding process related issues.
  • Reviews plant upsets, troubleshoots issues and provides recommendations for changes.
  • Develops solutions for process optimization and debottlenecking.
  • Participates in process safety reviews and the associated action close-outs.
  • Produces technical studies for process safety, production and environmental improvements.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 

  • Must have strong oral and written communications skills, be able to work effectively and build relationships with others.
  • Must have good organization and planning skills, demonstrate effective project coordination, facilitation, and implementation based on past work or school experiences.
  • Must possess deductive reasoning skills, be able to analyze and synthesize information for problem solving.
  • Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email software, internet searching, and other programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Education, Training and Certifications

  • Applicants must be enrolled in a four-year accredited college or university and a course of study, relevant to the department/function of interest.
    • Major: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
      • Undergraduate Junior or Senior preferred.
  • Requires eligibility to work in the United States.
