Sanitary Sewer Engineering Technician

HIRING RANGE DOQ: $27.13 - $29.46 hourly

JOB SUMMARY  

The City of Sioux Falls is currently seeking a dedicated Engineering Technician to join our Sanitary Sewer team. As a Sanitary Sewer Engineering Technician, you will assist in the planning, design, and management of the City’s sanitary sewer systems. Your knowledge and experience working with or on sanitary sewer infrastructure and projects and working in GIS will be essential for analyzing spatial data, improving system efficiency, and contributing to project success. Your role will involve working closely with engineers and project managers to ensure sanitary sewer projects meet regulatory standards and community needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

Graduation from high school or GED certification and completion of a two- (2-) year course in engineering technology; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.

Must possess or be able to obtain prior to hire a valid driver’s license.

  • The City participates in the South Dakota Retirement System. Employees receive a 6% match.  Additionally, employees may choose to enroll in a Deferred Compensation Plan.
