Application Development Intern

The Role 

The Sun Life Application Development team is looking for a proactive, positive, and dynamic team player to join our Corporate Applications team as an intern supporting our shared corporation wide applications.  As a member of Sun Life's Corporate Applications team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience. This is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of corporate application development and support.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Researching root cause of application issues

Validating changes made to applications

Making configuration changes for file movement processes

Creating PlanetPress templates

Assisting with file archives

Other duties as assigned

 

Core skill sets needed for this role:

Experience with project management software (JIRA)

Working knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook

Excellent written communication skills

C# Programming language knowledge and understanding

Proactive, able to manage multiple projects with demanding deadlines

Highly-motivated, self-driven, focused, strong attention to detail

Desire to research and learn new products quickly

 

The Candidate

To be eligible for an internship at Sun Life, you must meet the following requirements:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university during the time of internship (June 2025 – August 2025)

Sit in Eastern or Central Time Zone

Must be an undergraduate student in Computer Science, Management Information Science (MIS), Software Engineering, Business Administration, or related field of study

Eligible to legally work in the United States

Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during Intern session

 

Compensation for this role will be $20/hour.
