Societies that value women and men as equal and give them the same opportunities for education, employment, healthcare, political participation, and safety are safer and healthier. As one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development goals and a pressing issue worldwide, focus has grown substantially on gender equity and empowering girls and women. Gender equity prevents violence against women and girls, is essential for economic prosperity and is a human right. The mission of these organizations is to support, protect, and promote the rights and interests of women and girls in their respective regions and communities. These organizations advocate for all women and girls, irrespective of differences such as political beliefs, religion, age, education level, sexual orientation, abilities, etc.

In order to achieve their mission, these organizations implement projects focused on the exchange of experience and information, partnerships and networking, research, advocacy, and service. These organizations are committed to supporting women and girls by providing opportunities for educational advancement, employment, access to healthcare, and more.
