Banking - Investment Banking, Summer Analyst, Singapore – APAC, 2025

The Intern Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The Intern Analyst also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients. The overall objective of this role is to act as strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in client mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, underwriting, and distributing equity, debt, and derivative securities
  • Collect and analyze company information to assist with various activities, including conducting industry research, and the revision and organization of financial data
  • Analyze data and develop financial models, including company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, financing, and comparative analyses
  • Create and finalize new business development presentations
  • Coordinate tasks with internal and external working teams
  • Prepare required internal documentation, including control and compliance regulations
  • Participate in Citi's mentorship program, which provides further training and guidance
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the global or domestic business landscape is a plus, but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to develop knowledge of the financial industry
  • Proven commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
