WB Pictures Theatrical Multicultural Marketing Intern: LA - Spring 2025

Your New Role

This internship will be located in the LA area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule.


The Multicultural Marketing department researches, develops and executes motion picture marketing campaigns to better leverage and target multicultural (Latine, Black, AAPI) and faith audiences and market segments that now make up over 50%-60% of opening day weekend market share for top box office performing film releases.  This internship is designed to expose students interested in pursuing careers in marketing to the various facets of theatrical marketing which includes publicity, digital, creative, events & promotions.  The internship will have a focus on working within the multicultural space in terms of media outlets, journalists, digital & promotional partners, creative concepts, grassroots events, etc.


Your Role Accountabilities

  • Assists in the implementation of Multicultural marketing campaigns, including researching and tracking appropriate social media influencers, trendsetters.
  • Participates and takes notes in Multicultural marketing strategy and campaign meetings.
  • Brainstorm on campaign activities.
  • Tracks and prepares publicity break reports.
  • Assists in the coordination of special events and projects, as needed.
  • Performs marketing research and related tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must have a strong interest in working in the multicultural space
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage.
  • Proficient in internet research.
  • Exposure to and/or experience with social media metrics.
  • Bilingual – English and Spanish (written and spoken) a plus but not required.

 

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above cumulative GPA)
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

The duration of the program is 12-weeks

Program dates:

  • Start Date: January 27th
  • End Date: April 18th

Interns will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.

Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided. 

Interviewing will take place from October through early December. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for roles in locations where legally required. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns.
