Description
Barnett Engineering & Signaling Laboratories LLC (BESL) is seeking an experienced Engineering Specialist to conduct System Integration and Testing duties in support of customers and/or company employees. The SI&T engineer will execute at all levels of testing, integration, system and acceptance. Develops test plans, test cases, and testing scripts for manual and automated testing, maintain testing records, document and report discovered problems. Documents issues into the bug tracking tool and perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. The SI&T engineer will advocate for test priorities in daily scrum meetings and sprint planning. They will collaborate with the software development team, participate in test development and peer review activities. Finally, they will create test traceability matrices to ensure complete, accurate test coverage, participate in project planning and execution meetings as required.

Requirements
Position requires the following:
- Must have experience and familiarity in the field of satellite communications or space electromagnetic warfare
- Must possess a firm understanding of radio frequency and signal flow
- Possess excellent technical skills to understand and translate information into presentable instructional material.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must possess or able to achieve and maintain a DOD Security clearance.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with all phases of the software test life cycle
- Able to present reports and presentations in a clear, articulate and concise manner.
- Carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instruction given, prescribed routines, and acceptable standards
- Experience with Agile or DevOps project management styles. (JIRA)
- Familiarity with test equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Multimeters, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with hardware integration and installation
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelors’ degree with 4 years’ experience
- Associate degree with 6 years’ experience
- 8 years’ experience in lieu of education
