Job Description

A Report Writer who is team oriented and can also work independently would be responsible for Report programming, creation of Ad Hoc data sets, TSQL Stored procedures, creating functions, Data Extraction, Importing of data for the use of reports or analysis.  

Conduct code QA, testing and remediation. The data reported or pulled is from various internal systems (Centricity, Ascend, eCW, home grown systems) will analyze, design, program, test, troubleshoot, publish, maintain existing reports and data based dashboards. Work on multiple projects independently and part of a larger team based projects. Performs first-level QA of generated reports. As needed, becomes familiar with CHS workflows. Maintains reference tables, functions and other tools needed to improve report accuracy.

Position requires excellent T-SQL programming language skills (i.e. multiple joins, combining queries with set operators, scalar and aggregate functions, nested group aggregates, crosstabs, correlated subqueries, table variables, query optimization, stored procedures etc.} and experience with SQL Server, SSRS 2008 R2 or later, Power BI. 

Troubleshoot problems and maintain legacy reports and dashboards. Help to collect and define functional requirements, document and contribute to technical design discussions as well as perform other organizational related duty or projects as needed.

Healthcare experience/at least 2+years of work experience/bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

Minimum Qualifications

1. A Masters Degree or advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience serving as a lead in soliciting, defining, and managing requirements for internally and externally developed software in a clinical, allied health, non-allied health, behavioral health, information technology, information services, business, analytics or related area; or, one year of experience in a relevant clinical and/or healthcare administration role/function; or 
2. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience as described above; or 
3. A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience. 
4. Specialty certification(s) issued by a national commercially available program, state, professional society, academic or technical institution in an area(s) listed above, may be credited on a month-to-month basis toward the required work experience for a total of one year.
