Penn Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Intern for Inpatient Central Operations on a day/evening rotation at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP).
Summary of Accountabilities: Under the direct supervision of Registered Pharmacists, the Pharmacy Intern is responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks: assisting in the preparation and filling of medication orders and medication carts; compounding sterile and non-sterile preparation; distributing medication to patients; performing nursing unit QA inspections; maintaining stock levels in all areas of the hospital.
Education/Licensure
- Licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern within 1 year of hire (required)
- High school graduate or equivalent with course work in the sciences (required)
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy (required)
