The Annex Teen Clinic provides sexual health care and education for young adults through age 25 in a friendly, non-judgmental, and comfortable atmosphere. Our services are low-cost, medically accurate, and developmentally appropriate. The Annex Teen Clinic has been providing services in Northwest Hennepin County and North Minneapolis since 1971.

Wages
$21 - $26 per hour
Benefits
Paid sick time and personal time policies, plus nine paid holidays per year and two floating holidays. The Annex sponsors a retirement plan with a 3% employer contribution after one year of service.
A Typical Day in the Life…
A typical day as the Annex’s Ultrasound Technician offers an opportunity to provide optimal ultrasound exams and/or procedures in an efficient and safe manner to facilitate the physician's diagnosis, and might include the following:
- Following all medical policies and procedures while striving to improve medical services offered.
- Maintaining of medical documentation, including completing all applicable logs per medical policies and procedures.
- Providing limited obstetric ultrasound scans and pregnancy-related education, based on direction from the Medical Director and medical guidelines.
- Preparing and maintaining client’s medical records.
- Answering medical questions and providing requested education to clients and staff.
- Providing all-options pregnancy counseling.
- Following up on referrals made for clients whose care goes beyond our scope of services.
- Participating in the development and modification of the organization's medical programs/resources.
- Administering intramuscular injections per standing orders.
- Administering/overseeing pregnancy tests.
- Maintaining BLS and First Aid certification.
Who You Are
- You are a graduate of an accredited program in Sonography.
- You are RDMS Registered or Registry Eligible; new graduates need to obtain within 24 months of hire.
- You are BLS & First Aide certified (required).
- You have one to five years of previous experience (preferred).
- You are registered in Sonography.
- You are proficient in Abdomen, OB/Gyn and Small Parts.
- You have a desire to be a collaborative member of the Annex Clinical team with a continued commitment to providing exceptional client care with compassion.
- You can act independently and seek consultation when needed.
- You can engage confidentially in a non-judgmental way with all client demographics and situations.
- You have outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Preferably, you have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet Annex Teen Clinic’s driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.
