Our Enterprise IT Internship is designed to make a direct impact on a broad variety of projects. You must be motivated to deliver innovative capabilities that directly impact some of GDIT's most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects across the country.
A Day in the Life
- Assist in researching, designing, developing, and/or modifying enterprise-wide or customer systems.
- Assist in performing systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Assist in testing, diagnosing, and fixing incidents.
- Participates in large system and subsystem planning.
- Help ensure that applications and systems are compliant with established quality standards and meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Supports the completion of technical tasks.
- Assists with the solutions to technical problems of limited scope.
- Assists with the coordination for new products, software, upgrades, and equipment.
- Assists with documentation for processes and procedure related to computer systems and operations.
Must Haves
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or master's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar discipline.
- Ability to actively collaborate with others.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
- Ability to manage projects and prioritize competing requirements in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical terminology, concepts, and issues in terms understandable to both technical and non-technical resources.
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with manager and members of your team in a remote environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
- Intuitiveness with an ability to identify and solve complex problems related to rapidly changing technology.
- A sense of genuine, intellectual curiosity and a nimble mindset
What you Offer as a Stand-Out Candidate
- Familiarity with IT systems and demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages.
- Understanding of software development best practices
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
GDIT interns are paid and full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks. Applicants should have a minimum of one semester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Take the first step and apply today!
