Intern, Oncology Epidemiology

Oracle Health is looking to hire one intern to work part-time during the spring semester. The role will be remote and will begin in February or March of 2025.

The Intern, Epidemiology will focus on updating the Cerner Enviza Epi Database through extensive literature reviews and statistical analysis. Support of custom projects may also be included. This role reports to the Project Lead, Non-Oncology, in the Oncology and Specialty Therapeutics team, or similar level.

REQUIREMENTS 

To succeed, you will need:

  • To be currently enrolled in a graduate program in epidemiology (Master of Public Health or PhD program)
  • Strong research background with experience conducting literature reviews.
  • Working knowledge of quantitative epidemiological and scientific analysis.
  • Organized and meticulous along with ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments.
  • Solid scientific writing, presentation, and communication skills with ability to synthesize data across multiple sources and make recommendations towards the most robust data to apply

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Oncology Epi Intern, you will: 

  • Contribute to the updates of the Patient Metrics module within the CancerMPact data offer, which covers up to 34 different tumor types across multiple geographies (US, 5EU, Japan, China and several additional countries).
  • Conduct literature reviews in support of the data inputs required in the epidemiology patient flow calculations.  This will include evaluating incidence, survival, staging, recurrence rates, and treatment.
  • Be involved in team discussions about custom project work and client inquiries on Patient Metrics.

US: Hiring Range: from $18.99 to $53.00 per hour; from $39,500 to $110,240 per annum.
