Intern - Human Resources

Responsibilities

The Howmet Aerospace Summer Internship Program, in our Howmet Wheel Systems (HWS) business unit, will include engaging and impactful projects, lunch & learns presented by senior leaders, tours of our manufacturing plants & processes, networking opportunities, volunteering in the local community, and fun social activities to connect with fellow interns. This is a paid, 12-week internship, working 40 hours a week.

Responsibilities include:

Assigned projects will allow selected intern to gain practical exposure to HR functions in a manufacturing setting, helping to build essential skills for a career in HR. The Human Resources Intern will work independently and with other HR and Operations professionals to execute tasks/project work in any of the following areas: 

  • Employee Relations
  • HR Reporting  
  • Data Management 
  • Compliance
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Talent Management
  • Training & Development

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3.0 GPA and above.
  • Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity.
  • Prior work experience.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in business, human resources, or finance with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and May 2027.
  • Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
