Remote Management Internship

Tacoson Food Truck Remote Management Internship
Location: Remote (with coordination for the truck operations in Europe)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (flexible for a total of 30 hours per week)
Commitment: 30 hours per week
Compensation: Unpaid

Overview

This isn’t your typical internship. The Tacoson Food Truck Remote Management Internship is an intense, hands-on experience where you’ll help rebuild the business from the ground up with a new team and fresh vision. It’s not easy, but it’s incredibly rewarding and full of learning opportunities. This role requires super-independent, motivated individuals who can take charge without needing constant guidance. From operational management to social media, you’ll cover every aspect of the business, ensuring our food truck operates smoothly and efficiently as it grows.

Key Responsibilities

Remote Operational Management

• Daily Operations Coordination: Organize and oversee daily activities remotely to ensure the truck opens and closes smoothly. Maintain communication with on-site staff to manage workflow, scheduling, and troubleshoot any operational issues.
• Inventory and Supply Tracking: Remotely manage inventory by coordinating with on-site staff and suppliers, ensuring that all ingredients, packaging, and materials are consistently stocked and ready for service.
• Quality Control Oversight: Partner with chefs to maintain food quality remotely, ensuring consistency in presentation, portioning, and overall standards.
• Maintenance Scheduling: Coordinate maintenance for equipment with local service providers and support basic troubleshooting to keep everything running.

Team Coordination and Support

• Independent Staff Management: Develop and manage daily staff schedules, ensuring that the right people are in place at the right time. Communicate expectations and check in on responsibilities without micromanaging.
• Training and Team Support: Guide new team members through remote training sessions covering food safety, customer service, and brand standards. Support team members with problem-solving resources when needed.
• Chef and Kitchen Support: Collaborate with chefs to organize kitchen workflows, especially during peak hours, to ensure efficient food prep and service from afar.

Customer Service and Experience Management

• Remote Customer Interaction Support: Address customer inquiries and complaints remotely, coordinating with on-site staff to ensure a seamless experience for every guest.
• Order Process Monitoring: Oversee order processing to ensure efficiency and minimize wait times. Communicate with the team to address any issues affecting customer satisfaction.
• Feedback Collection and Improvement: Gather customer feedback on service, food quality, and truck atmosphere. Analyze insights with the team to implement improvements and maintain a high standard of service.

Remote Social Media and Marketing

• Content Creation Coordination: Develop social media strategies, guide on-site staff to capture engaging photos and videos, and post content on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Engagement and Community Building: Monitor and respond to comments and messages. Build relationships with followers, answer questions, and keep our online community connected to the truck.
• Promotions and Campaigns: Create campaigns for discounts, events, and seasonal menu updates. Track social media metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and adjust based on audience engagement.

Logistics and Administrative Tasks

• Supply Chain Logistics: Coordinate with suppliers and on-site staff to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and materials, managing orders and following up as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records on sales, customer feedback, expenses, and inventory. Prepare regular reports to track progress, identify challenges, and suggest improvements.
• Process Improvement and Troubleshooting: Constantly look for ways to enhance operations and resolve issues independently to streamline workflow and ensure operational stability.

Requirements

• Highly independent and self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with on-site staff and suppliers from a remote position.
• Proficiency in social media management, including content creation and engagement.
• Organizational skills with experience in managing schedules, inventories, and logistics.
• Background or strong interest in food service, hospitality, or management preferred.
• Adaptable and resilient, with a positive approach to problem-solving in a remote setting.
