A career in Construction Safety where none of us stand still.

This position will be an integral part of the Lincoln Engineering team working closely with engineering, operations, sourcing, EHS, and quality assurance to maximize the effectiveness and compliance of indirect procurement purchases.  The person in this role will perform the necessary strategic/tactical activities related to the timely delivery of materials and effective flow of communication and associated paperwork to ensure material availability to support projects & production schedules.

 

This individual will perform the necessary strategic/ tactical activities related to onboarding and procurement to new and existing vendors to ensure compliance with company compliance, purchasing, engineering, and EHS standards.

 

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

  • Development, oversite, maintenance, and Execution of construction safety programs for large scale capital projects
  • Identification, coordination, and derisking of high hazard activities commonly associated with construction.
  • Coordination of direct labor across multiple disciplines to drive compliance and project schedule adherence.
  • This role is responsible for generation and presentation of metrics to project steering team.
  • This role is responsible for the coordination of relevant training, performance/competency assessments and retraining to ensure all associates are fully trained in respective areas of responsibility. 
  • Provide a safe and lean operating environment by complying to all essential statutory and corporate requirements.  
  • Responsible for ensuring that engineering meet all statutory requirements and are carried out within the Haleon safety, environmental and GMP requirements. Develop written SOPs, standards, and processes for applicable areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures OSHA audit readiness by complying with effective standards, and regulatory/statutory to prevent compliance observations.
  • Develop an efficient and compliant team culture that is learning and continuous improvement focused to meet business needs.
  • Manage vendors and consultants to ensure that contracts contain appropriate technical specifications are delivered as required as related to EHS.

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity:

Education required

  • Pursing BS in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred

 

Other requirements:

  • Know, understand, and comply with all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines
  • Report unsafe conditions
  • Report all injuries, illnesses, and hazardous materials releases
  • Wear personal protective equipment
  • Attend EHS training programs
  • Follow all safe work procedures
  • Candidate must be eligible to work on a full-time basis (40 hours a week) during the internship duration (12 weeks).
  • Provide your own funding for relocation and commuting.
  • This role is onsite at our Lincoln, NE location.
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.

 

Expected start date: June 2025

 

 

 

The hourly rate for this role is $24.50/ hour.
