Camp Counselor

Come spend the summer in Maine!

You'd be a great camp counselor at ALC if:

• You love working with children
• You have a positive, can-do attitude
• You want to create fun, positive experiences
• You are empathetic and compassionate
• You are a team player

Additionally, we are looking for counselors who are:

• Skilled in at least one camp activity (swimming, canoeing, archery, climbing, sports, art, drama, sailing, camping, horseback, riding, and more).
• Safety-conscious and can ensure the physical and emotional well-being of campers.
• Positive role models and exhibit behavior and attitudes that set a good example for campers.
• Respectful of others.
• Flexible and can adjust plans or strategies based on changing circumstances.
• Aware of campers' emotional needs and willing to provide support as needed.
• Effective communicators.
• Solutions-oriented and can think creatively to overcome challenges and meet campers’ needs.
• Diligent and dedicated to their work.
